Raised in Ireland in a family of builders, Gordon Rattigan’s path to luxury homebuilding began with a love of art and evolved into a life of craftsmanship. After completing a carpentry apprenticeship in London, he worked as a carpenter on the construction of Disneyland Paris before moving to Los Angeles in 1992. There, his eye for design and skill with his hands came together while building sets for Hollywood.
Gordon always knew his true passion was building homes. In 1999, after an introduction to a Los Angeles architect, he was given the opportunity to do just that. He founded Rattigan Construction to create homes of lasting quality, shaped around the people who would live in them.
In the decades since, Gordon has led the construction of luxury estates throughout Southern California for discerning homeowners, creatives, and industry leaders. He keeps the firm small by design, taking on only a select number of projects at a time so he can remain personally involved from start to finish.
Known for his hands-on presence, honest counsel, and close collaboration with homeowners, architects, designers, and owner’s representatives, Gordon brings the same care to every project: build it properly, build it beautifully, and build it to last.
Through every chapter, he credits his family as the foundation beneath everything he has built.
